Blog Post AI Pattern Analysis & Improvement Plan
Overview
Analysis of all blog posts for AI-written patterns and fluff. Goal: Maintain technical accuracy while removing robotic language and adding authentic voice.
Posts Requiring Major Revision
1. “AI Danger” (2025-08-18)
AI Patterns Found:
- Structural: Classic intro → bullets → conclusion sandwich format
- Preachy Vocabulary: “rapidly evolving,” “revolutionize industries,” “immense benefits,” “significant risks”
- Assistant Tone: “we must actively address,” “we must consciously choose”
- Mechanical Style: Perfect parallel bullet points, excessive transition words
Improvement Plan:
- Lead with the WALL-E effect instead of generic intro
- Convert bullet points to narrative paragraphs with varying sentence lengths
- Replace preachy phrases: “rapidly evolving” → “AI’s moving fast”, “immense benefits” → “some real advantages”
- Add personal voice: “I’ve noticed this in my own work…” or “What worries me is…”
- Kill conclusion echo: Remove “In conclusion” style ending
2. “SQL Window Functions” (2025-09-10)
AI Patterns Found:
- Structural: Perfect numbered sections with emoji headers
- Mechanical Style: Every bullet point same length/structure
- Assistant Tone: “Let’s examine how,” “Think of it like this”
- Double Dashes: Multiple instances of “–” instead of proper punctuation
Improvement Plan:
- Break the perfect structure: Mix up section lengths, combine some sections
- Vary bullet point lengths: Some one-liners, some detailed explanations
- Replace “Let’s examine”: Jump straight into content
- Fix punctuation: Replace “–” with em-dashes or commas
- Add real examples: “I used this last week to…”
3. “SQL CTE” (2025-09-11)
AI Patterns Found:
- Structural: Perfect 1-2-3 progression with emoji headers
- Assistant Tone: “Think of a CTE as…”, “This is where the power really shines”
- Mechanical Style: Every example follows identical format
- Preachy Words: “crucial step,” “powerful way,” “enable advanced techniques”
Improvement Plan:
- Start with a real problem: “Last month I had this query that was 200 lines…”
- Remove emoji headers: Use regular headings
- Vary example complexity: Some simple, some complex
- Add opinion: “Honestly, I think CTEs are better than subqueries because…”
- Kill the perfect structure: Combine sections 2 and 3
Posts Requiring Minor Tweaks
4. “What is RAG?” (2025-09-08)
AI Patterns Found:
- Minor: Some “Let’s explore” tone
- Good: Already has conversational voice, good examples
Improvement Plan:
- Remove “This is exactly where” type phrases
- Add more personal experience: “When I first built my RAG system…”
- Keep the conversational tone - this one’s mostly good
5. “Vibe Coding” (2025-09-10)
AI Patterns Found:
- Minimal: Already has strong voice and opinion
- Good: Personal P.S. adds authenticity
Improvement Plan:
- Minor cleanup: Remove any remaining “we should” phrases
- Expand personal examples: More specific stories from experience
6. “NLP Part 1” (2026-01-13)
AI Patterns Found:
- Some: “Maybe some of you know what that is” - slightly assistant-like
- Good: Personal journey perspective, conversational tone
Improvement Plan:
- Remove hedge words: “Maybe some of you know” → “You might know”
- Add more specific examples from personal work
- Keep the learning journey narrative - it’s authentic
7. “AI Cheating” (2026-01-14)
AI Patterns Found:
- Minimal: Strong voice, good examples
- Good: “Stop doing that. Seriously.” - authentic
Improvement Plan:
- Very minor tweaks: Remove any remaining “we should” phrases
- This one’s mostly solid - good authentic voice
Posts That Are Good (Minimal Changes)
8. “Rooted Remedies” (2025-08-15)
- Authentic: Personal announcement, real product
- Voice: Natural excitement, honest about iOS costs
- Keep as-is
9. “MCP” (2025-09-06)
- Good: Clear analogy, practical examples
- Minor: Remove any “let’s explore” phrases
- Mostly solid
10. “XAI Architecture” (2026-02-19)
- Good: Technical depth, real project examples
- Minor: Some “we can” phrases could be more direct
- Keep the technical substance
Global Improvement Strategies
1. Kill These Patterns Across All Posts
- Remove: “In conclusion,” “Ultimately,” “In summary”
- Replace: “–” with em-dashes (—) or commas
- Delete: “It’s important to note that,” “We should consider”
- Avoid: “Let’s examine,” “Let’s explore,” “Think of it like”
2. Add Human Elements
- Personal anecdotes: “I ran into this last week when…”
- Strong opinions: “Honestly, I think…” instead of “It could be argued that…”
- Contractions: “it’s” instead of “it is,” “don’t” instead of “do not”
- Varying sentence lengths: Mix short, punchy sentences with longer ones
3. Structural Changes
- Break the sandwich: Don’t always end with summary
- Vary bullet point lengths: Some one-liners, some detailed
- Remove perfect parallelism: Make sections different lengths
- Combine related sections: Don’t force artificial separation
4. Voice Injection
- Use “I” statements: “I’ve found that…” instead of “One might find…”
- Add specific examples: Real projects, real problems
- Include contractions and natural language
- Remove hedge words: “could be,” “might,” “potentially” (unless necessary)
Priority Order for Revisions
- High Priority: AI Danger, SQL Window Functions, SQL CTE
- Medium Priority: What is RAG?, NLP Part 1, AI Cheating
- Low Priority: Vibe Coding, MCP, XAI Architecture
- No Changes: Rooted Remedies
Quick Humanization Checklist for Each Post
- Delete first paragraph if it’s generic
- Delete last paragraph if it’s just a summary
- Add at least one “I” statement
- Vary sentence lengths (add some very short ones)
- Remove all “Let’s explore” type phrases
- Replace “–” with proper punctuation
- Make bullet points inconsistent lengths
- Add one specific personal example or story
This plan maintains all technical information while transforming robotic AI writing into authentic human voice.
